Get started with identifying the right investors in just 5 steps

Step 5: Filter the investors that invest in your region

Quite often investors have geography limitations and do not invest in companies outside the particular location. Some of them have strong preferences to invest close to their offices while the others make their investment decisions regardless of the location of potential investee startups.

In terms of geography, an investor can focus on a particular city or a metropolitan area (e.g. the San Francisco Bay Area), one country, a few countries, or a region. A region could be, for example, North America, Southeast Asia, or the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Therefore, explore the investor’s website information to make sure you will not be rejected for this reason.
